Our Story
Once upon a time in the charming city of Fayetteville, Arkansas, I was working in sales and a new intern, Marisa, had just started at my company. We found ourselves collaborating on projects, joking around, and sharing LifeSaver Wintergreen mints. As we spent more time together, we discovered shared interests in everything from eating spicy foods to a love for live music. Our colleagues couldn't help but notice the spark between us and it wasn't long before whispers of an office romance began to circulate. We ignored the murmurs of a “New Jim and Pam”, and remained focused on our work while cherishing the growing connection between us.
One crisp autumn evening, I mustered the courage to invite Marisa to a Halloween party that my friends and I were hosting. Although Eleven from Stranger Things and a Panda may not seem like the most likely pairing, there was something special about the connection we shared that night. Eventually, I garnered the bravery needed to ask Marisa for her phone number, and it was perhaps in this exchange that I realized my feelings were far more than just friendly camaraderie. If you were to ask Marisa how she felt in this moment, she’d probably tell you she “wasn’t quite there yet”, but I was steadfast in my pursuit. After several months of dating and getting to know each other, I mysteriously started working somewhere else, and our relationship became official.
Our love story continued to unfold in Arkansas as we spent weekends hiking, brunching, attending concerts at George’s Majestic and the Walmart Amphitheater, and tailgating with friends at Razorback football games.
After 5+ wonderful years, we are overjoyed to celebrate the start of a new chapter with all of our closest friends and family in Cabo.
